海口市人民医院是集医疗、教学、科研、预防、保健和康复为一体的三级甲等综合医院，为海南省北部区域医疗中心，1997年被卫生部评为三级甲等医院，2003年成为中南大学湘雅医学院附属海口医院，2020年成为中南大学湘雅医学院海口临床学院。
